LIV Golf Tulsa Picks

Talor Gooch will look to make it three straight wins this week and he is favored in the LIV Golf Tulsa event which begins on Friday. There have been five LIV Golf events this season with Charles Howell III, Danny Lee, Brooks Koepka and Gooch getting the wins. Gooch became the first back-to-back champion in LIV history and he is listed as the +1000 favorite this week. Cedar Ridge Golf Club is the site for this week’s event and it has not been used in the men’s game before, but it did host the U.S Women’s Open back in 1983. This course is not long so Greens in Regulation will be a key stat to keep an eye one. Let’s look at LIV Golf Tulsa picks.

Venue: Cedar Ridge Country Club will play as a par 70 that measures 7,213 yards. It has only two par-5’s to go along with four par-3’s and 12 par-4’s.

Talor Gooch +1000

It should go without saying that I am not betting on Gooch this week. Golf betting favorites have been a disaster from week to week, as they rarely win and they definitely don’t win enough to be profitable. And keep in mind that although Gooch won each of the last two LIV events, he wasn’t favored in either of them.

Value Picks

Mito Pereira +1600

You might not remember that Pereira played well in Oklahoma last year when he had a chance to win the PGA Championship. Pereira has looked good lately on the LIV Tour with three top six finishes in his last four starts. Oddsmakers are aware of Pereira, as they listed him as one of the top contenders this week. He leads the LIV Tour in GIR and we know that is a key stat this week. I would like better odds, but I think Pereira can win this week and we still get 16-1.

Peter Uilhein +2000

I think it is just a matter of time before Uilhein gets a win on the LIV Tour. He has had good finishes nearly every week and his worst finish was actually 11th in Singapore. He has fond memories of playing in Oklahoma and we know he will have some fan support. I’ll give Uilhein a look at odds of 20-1.

Charles Howell +2000

I have to admit that I was shocked when Howell won earlier this season. He should feel right at home this week as he went to Oklahoma State. He was great in his college days and we know that he can still win. He has ranked highly on the LIV Tour in many events this season and there is no doubt he has the type of game to win on this course.

Paul Casey +2500

It is time for Casey to start challenging for a win. He did finish fourth in Mayakoba and he finally put together a really good round last week in Singapore, but it was too little, too late. We know that Casey has the game to win and this could be the week where he gets going and the odds are appealing at 25-1.

Abraham Ancer +2800

If the putter gets hot then Ancer could contend this week. He should benefit from the shorter course and we know that his short game is solid. Perhaps this is where his putter gets hot and we get 28-1 golf betting odds.
