Brooks Koepka will get right back into action this week after winning the PGA Championship, and he is listed as the co-favorite in golf betting odds along with Cameron Smith to win the LIV Golf DC that begins on Friday. Kopeka and Smith are listed with odds of +800 to win this week, while Dustin Johnson, who won the last LIV event in Tulsa is the third choice at odds of +1200. Five other players are listed with odds of less than +2000. They are Bryson DeChambeau, Mito Pereira, Patrick Reed, Talor Gooch, Charles Howell III +1800 and Joaquin Niemann. There have been six LIV Golf events this season with Charles Howell III, Danny Lee, Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson winning once, while Talor Gooch has two wins. Trump National Golf Club Washington D.C. is the site for this week’s event. Let’s look at LIV Golf DC picks.

Venue: Trump National Golf Club Washington D.C. is a par 72 that measures 7,470 yards. A couple of interesting holes to keep an eye on are the par-3 15th which is 210 yards and the drivable 9th hole that is 310 yards.

Brooks Koepka, Cameron Smith +1000

It should go without saying that I am not betting on the favorites this week, as they lose on a regular basis in golf betting. I wouldn’t bet Koepka this week, as I can’t see anything other than a letdown after last week’s PGA Championship win. Perhaps Smith is worth a look, but I can’t take him simply because he is listed as the co-favorite.

Value Picks

Mito Pereira +1600

Pereira took himself out of the LIV Tulsa event with an opening round 72 but he bounced back with rounds of 64 and 68. Pereira oftentimes gets overlooked but he ranks first on the LIV Tour in total driving going back to last year and he is also highly ranked in GIR, Ball Striking and Scrambling.

Bryson DeChambeau +1600

One thing we know about Trump National is that it is long. That should bode well for DeChambeau and the fact that it is links golf might help him as well. He played well in the Open last year at St. Andrews and links success will matter this week. DeChambeau is also in much better form of late with top five finishes at LIV Golf Tulsa and in the PGA Championship.

Sergio Garcia +2700

Sergio had to play in the U.S. Open qualifiers to make the field for that event and he played well and will be in next month’s U.S. Open. He shot a pair of 66’s to qualify. Garcia may be able to keep that momentum going this week in DC.

Harold Varner III +2200

Did you notice that Varner played well last week at the PGA? He is trending upward, as he finished fourth in Tulsa. He could definitely have some value this week at odds of 22-1.

Matthew Wolff +4200

If distance off the tee is as important as everyone thinks, then Wolff could be in the mix this week. He is one of the longest hitters on the Tour and he should do well on this links-style course. Wolff needs to start showing he belongs on this tour and this is a good week to do just that.
