January 30, 2025Kansas Jayhawks at Baylor Bears Same Game Parlay Picks Recap
Baylor stormed back from a 21-point first-half deficit to stun No. 11 Kansas 81-70, marking the largest blown lead in Jayhawks history. Kansas led 40-21 at halftime but struggled in the second half, shooting just 36% against Baylor’s full-court pressure. The Bears capitalized, led by Robert Wright III, who scored 20 of his 24 points after the break. Kansas center Hunter Dickinson led his team with 20 points, while Dajuan Harris Jr. added 12. Baylor’s Norchad Omier dominated inside with 18 points and 16 rebounds, and VJ Edgecombe had 14 before exiting early in the second half with an injury.
The pivotal moment came with four minutes left when Jalen Celestine drilled a go-ahead three-pointer, giving Baylor a lead they never relinquished to secure the CBB betting odds win and cover. From that point, the Bears outscored Kansas 18-7. Bench production also flipped—Kansas held a 20-0 first-half edge, but Baylor won the category 12-8 after halftime. David Coit, Rylan Griffen, and Flory Bidunga all played a big role in the Jayhawks getting out to such a commanding lead over the first 20 minutes, but weren’t seen much in the second half as Kansas pissed its lead away.
This loss comes just a week after Kansas allowed Houston to mount late comebacks at Allen Fieldhouse, raising concerns about the Jayhawks’ ability to close games in Big 12 play. That fear raised its head quickly in the second half. I watched in disgust as my Jayhawks hefty halftime lead was whittled down to nothing. I’m still at a loss for words after witnessing KU go up by 21 at the break only to serve up 60 second half points and fall by double-digits. Kansas and the under looked golden for the same game parlay picks at the half by way of hitting big shots from the perimeter and holding the Bears to next to nothing. The first half effort failed to carry over, and my mood at the Texas Roadhouse quickly changed because of it after PROLINE+ got my money.
Kansas Jayhawks at Baylor Bears Same Game Parlay Picks
Saturday’s college basketball same game parlay picks take us to Waco where the No. 11 Kansas Jayhawks invade Foster Pavilion looking to avenge a conference tournament loss to the Baylor Bears. These Big 12 rivals have split each of their last 10 regular season meetings, both straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS), with the under paying out at a 6-4 clip and 139.7 points scored on average.
Self’s troops bounced back from a horrid home loss to the Houston Cougars last time out by tallying the 91-87 non-cover against UCF as lofty 12.5-point favorites per the closing CBB betting odds. As for Scott Drew’s squad, it saw a two-game win streak go up in smoke after falling 93-89 in overtime at BYU. PROLINE+ will likely have the game lined a near pick ‘em with the Over/Under in the low to mid-140s for the only regular season clash between these teams.

Kansas Jayhawks
The Bill Self “Revenge Tour” got out to a tremendous start with the Jayhawks rattling off seven straight wins. Included in the mix were wins and covers against the Duke Blue Devils and Michigan State Spartans—a pair of teams currently ranked amongst the top-10 in the AP Poll. The season took a turn for the worst immediately after. Kansas suffered its first loss of the year in an uncompetitive 76-63 defeat to Creighton in Omaha, and then followed it up with an unacceptable 76-67 loss in Colombia to Mizzou as 6.5-point CBB odds favorites. Losses have since been incurred to West Virginia (62-61), Iowa State (74-57), and most recently, Houston (92-86).
Though the Jayhawks got back in the win column last time out, the showing was far from pretty with the defense allowing the Knights to hang 87 on the board by way of draining 14 of 36 shots from beyond the arc and getting to the free throw line 17 times—the game was held in the Phog!
Baylor Bears
College basketball bettors were put on notice that this year’s Baylor team wasn’t cut from the same type of cloth as prior versions after the team got skunked 101-63 by Gonzaga in the season opener. The team did however bounce back with four straight wins which included neutral court wins over Arkansas and St. John’s immediately after. Then it was taken to task by the Tennessee Volunteers in the title game of the Baha Mar Championship losing 77-62 as 4.5-point underdogs.
Newcomer Norchad Omier, formerly of the Miami Hurricanes, has been the pacesetter for the Bears averaging a double-double with 15.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Even so, Baylor has still had major issues consistently scoring close to the rack evidenced by ranking 124th in 2-point shooting percentage.
Same Game Parlay Picks
As poor KU’s defense has played its last two times on the hardwood, I expect Self to have his kids on lockdown knowing full well Baylor’s offense is by no means as efficient as it’s been in the past. The Jayhawks possess the bigs in Hunter Dickinson and Flory Bidunga to offset what Omier can do down low. With that, it will be up to the perimeter defense to limit the damage the Bears sharpshooters can do from deep. Though Kansas struggled against an average 3-point shooting team in the Knights last time out and allowed the Cougars to hit some big time threes the game prior, the Jayhawks still enter this tilt owners of the nation’s No. 30 ranked 3-point defense that’s only served up a 29.5% success rate to all opposition.
On the flipside, Baylor has been a sieve at defending the perimeter (#327) and been terrible on the defensive glass (#246). A number of second chance scoring opportunities should develop for the visitors because of it, and I firmly expect the Jayhawks to take full advantage of them. Though Kansas has been less than stellar shooting from long range (#140), Zeke Mayo just put forth a huge showing from long range against the Knights (6/10), and will now get a crack at Baylor’s No. 327 ranked 3-point defense. Provided KU takes ultimate care of its possessions, hits the glass, and converts some big shots, it gets out of Waco with the win in tow in a likely slow paced low scorer. Kansas and the under make for solid same game parlay picks on Saturday.
